Sacred Crock

The sunstar floats unfixed in trackless space,
as Anchoring lamp to worlds reckoned nine.
Earth's religious pharisees opine,
the age of dinosaurs did not take place,
and history and science undermine
those sacred truths drawn from the Book of Grace.
'In seven days, and wrought by hands divine
the Earth appeared, with Adam its first face.'
Those men who know that carbon dating's true,
that DNA and telescopes don't lie,
still bump about and mumble, "its taboo",
when put to task to publicly deny,
'that Heaven doesn't thrive beyond the sky,
nor Hell, where Satan dwells, just so much poo.
