Beyond the Edge

All dogmas based on stories are veneer
Their gods are border-bound and locked in place,
And men are doomed to paths without frontier.

Ten billion galaxies in nearby space
Are dense with countless suns. Infinite grace
Is spread so wide, to tell would take a year.
All dogmas based on stories are veneer.

In universal terms, rules grow unclear,
and absolutes appear to self-erase.
Complexities obscure Religion's face
when men are doomed to paths without frontier.

The mythic tales the formal faiths embrace,
as told, no doubt, have never taken place.
The vision of perfection that they chase
recedes like a mirage as they draw near,
as dogmas based on stories are veneer
where men are doomed to paths without frontier.
