All men have thoughts of afterlife, though none
definitively know anything, but beans.
What happens when one's time on earth is done,
is not made clear. A man must find the means
within the mind to motivate his will
to undertake the difficult ascent
up Virtue's hill. Though one lacks strength and skill
to soldier on, he also must invent
his own way up - it's not one size fits all.
It's imbecility to re-perform
the same mistake. Your vice will spawn a fall
to sore torment in disillusion's storm.
For solid earnest men, no other search
will light up paths, beyond the chains of church.
