If Heaven's Kingdom lies within a man,
then 'I' is God. Though you are not this 'I',
you share a mind, and often think you can
do deeds and throw your weight. Before you die,
I hope you see two sides of you are fused;
one high, one low. The low one owes all light
to luck. The high deep one has never used
the gains and dreams of others to rewrite
the ledger sheet of who owns what. This pure
and mystic presence is there for you
when life seems all but lost. It points detour,
and hopes you scrap stale things you thought you knew.
I say make room to honor your unseen guest,
without whose grace, your life's a dead-end quest.
