Is it the same to say that "I am here",
as in reverse to say that "here, I am"?
At first peruse, the meaning looks so near
to make the hearer say, "who gives a damn?"
But just as one gene changed in DNA
creates a Christ or idiot savant,
so too interpretations shades of grey
make giants out of Eckhart, Blake and Kant.
A chasm vast as summertime and snow
exists between each speakers source of view.
'I first', destroys our hope to fully know
the mystery whose grasp makes 'all things new'.
'Thou, O World first', that I may come to see
Eternity miraculous as me.
