Men keep illusions close and snug to wear
the bones for their beliefs to wrap about.
It matters not, two billion Christians swear
the life rules work one way, while Buddists say,
not so. Or, Jews make laws the Moslems flout,
while Hindus view the world an unlike way.
If someone had it right, we all would be
on board, but no one knows a single thing
about what waits us all. Men's destiny
eludes the pope, and all Islam's imams.
The fantasies which fixed religions fling
about as fact, are still baloney bombs.
So it would seem, the best a man can do
is choose from each, to reach the truest true.
