Salvation (** with Fear and Trembling...)
When Einstein said the speed of light was constant,
real scholars everywhere looked up in awe.
The mind of Newton with the soul of Kant
combined to find, afresh, what no man saw.
True laws of sub-atomics, found root that day.
His Relativity made right the rules
how energy and matter interplay
endowing men fresh eyes and 'power tools'.

The recess bell sent children out to play
and many charged to mount the carousel.
Some kids would push but other ones would stay
to ride for free. Their parents taught them well.
Isaac's laws of gravity made place
for Albert's curvature of time and space.
I'll bet that neither one would claim the pole
to coast while legs of others spun their soul.

** "Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed,
not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. " --Philippians 2:12-13
