Each Is

There are but two essential points of view.
The first is selfishness began in youth
which facinates most men their whole life through.
The other is a selfless love of truth;
a biasless devotion to what's real.
Unmoved by wishful fantasy or dream
it's better to behold from hub of wheel,
than edge, where things arn't always what they seem.
To seek the sweet and eazy, robs the soul
it's one chance to redeem it's royal seed.
To set one's life upon a quest whose goal
permits self-centered pride and fear and greed
however cloaked in laudable array
is yet death-driven spiritual decay.
