Beyond Yonder

Just saw a show on making a 3D
projection of the universe. The map
was turned into a movie, striking me
with awe. We flew through each galactic gap,
then circled round a spiraled wheel of stars.
As many billions twinkled through black space,
each galaxy glowed bright with stars like ours.
Doubt ceased for me, that in this boundless place,
we stand alone. A man would be inane
or predisposed to some mirage or myth,
to think that on this endless cosmic chain,
a lowly bantam planet laden with
a brawling herd of apes, makes up the crest
Infinity can fashion, at it's best.
